December is the perfect month to get extra cosy and to enjoy cheerful moments with loved ones and yourself. In this month's favourite playful finds you will find cosy recipes, christmas movies and other things to keep you happy and relaxed during the hustle and bustle of this Holiday month.

A warming recipe: Japanese Butadon Pork Bowl

I was introduced to this Butadon bowl recipe by a friend and ever since it’s been my favourite warming treat. It’s beyond simple to make and while it doesn’t require much from the chef it’s a dish that tastes complicated enough to impress both yourself and your guests.

I usually add some mushrooms (preferably enoki) and cut my pork belly in thicker slices which requires a few more hours of cooking time but is so worth it (!).

What we’re reading (and gifting) at the moment

What could be better to read to keep the darkness away than easily digested kindness and comfort? The big hit from 2019, The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse by Charlie Mackesy, contains all this and is an amazing read for all ages, making it both a great December read and gift.

But relaxing comes easier to some than others and for those of you struggling to relax, this article explains well, why time off work actually improves both your work and your life.
